The Wonderful Mystery Called Body -
Healing and Transforming through Mindfulness

"Our bodies hold the key to deep healing.

All of our past experiences, our traumas, our emotional ups and downs are stored in the body and become our habitual way of being in the world. These patterns can limit our possibilities. By freeing ourselves of these held physical, mental or emotional patterns we touch our true self, our naturalness. The work unfolds as we explore the body using particular, precise, gentle, movement sequences largely carried out while lying on the floor. While resting in this new experience we learn how to recognise, and expand on new vibrant qualities as the clear ,bright ,alive, mind appears .

During this retreat we will explore body as a path of Self Healing - a journey of discovery providing the possibility of a many faceted healing of mind/body - eg we may wish to be more decisive .With this innovative way of exploring we can directly experience decisiveness, and likewise confidence, or relief from pain, or relief from stress, or peacefulness, or joy etc.
"

2010

May 22 - 23
Saturday and Sunday 9am - 1 pm
31 Hobson Crescent, Thorndon, Wellington
During this workshop, we will use explorations of body (gentle movement sequences made with awareness) to bring forth new movement possibilities. Working this way is very freeing as old, stubborn habitual postures drop away and we can directly experience a tangible sense of wellbeing; of confidence; of clarity; of grace; centeredness and easefulness in life. Learning to bring forth these wonderful ways of living in the world is empowering and confidence grows in the ability to self heal.

Costs: $32 waged or $28 unwaged for the weekend.
$20 for one day for both waged and unwaged.
Preference will be given to those attending for two days.

Please also bring
Dana or Koha for Leander’s teaching. This is Leander's only source of income. Please give as generously as you are able and help to support this teaching.
