Young Adults Retreat – Wangapeka Retreat Centre
Sunday 15 Dec (afternoon) – Sunday 22 Dec (afternoon)
What nourishes you? What gives you a sense of well-being and belonging in any life circumstances? What can you really depend on? The theme for this year’s young adult retreat is refuge. Refuge is about finding inner peace in a busy and changing world. It is about being aware and connected to a reliable source of strength and purpose in your life.
Our shared search is set in the awesome beauty of the Wangapeka Study and Retreat Centre (http://www.wangapeka.org) and throughout the course we will explore the theme of refuge in a variety of ways. We will take time to share and explore in small groups, to be involved in creative pursuits (e.g. drama, dance/movement, art-work) and to experience periods of silence. There will be reflective time to allow you to connect with your own inner wisdom and guidance will be available for those young adults who are interested in learning to meditate as well as for those who wish to develop their meditation practice. We will also have time to enjoy some community activities on the property.
The course has been specifically been designed to be responsive to the needs of those attending. The facilitators, Mark, Kath and Jaime are all experienced teachers who bring enthusiasm, creativity and safety to the group and individual process.
As a way of keeping costs affordable, and to build a sense of connection with each other , the group will be involved in a project at the Centre throughout the length of the retreat. The course will probably be limited to 13 participants so registering early is advisable.
Course fee – $225 approx. (includes food, accommodation and a resource fee) – facilitators are gifting their time. For more info and/or to register please contact Mark Schrader firstname.lastname@example.org
