BODHI SEEDS 2018 Exploring Refuge in a World of Change Retreat
August 3 @ 6:00 pm - August 31 @ 6:00 pm
Bodhi Seeds is a universal meditation retreat for young adults aged between 18 – 35. It offers an affordable opportunity to experience retreat in the supportive environment of the Wangapeka Study and Retreat Centre.
We will use the elements of earth, water, fire, and air to explore refuge, empowerment, and integration. The retreat will deepen your understanding and experience of meditation and mindfulness through awareness of breathing.
Bodhi Seeds offers tools and skillsets to help young people move well in an ever-changing world. We explore in a range of different ways.
Some of the intentions for 2018 are to:
- Develop meditation skill and understanding
- Provide a taste of what a longer retreat looks and feels like
- Encourage a maturity of practice
- Encourage a deep appreciation/investigation of interbeing.
- Explore music and movement as part of the work
- Offer universal maps and practices to develop a sense of refuge and belonging
The retreat is designed to be affordable for young people who want to deepen their experience of longer retreat. Accommodation costs are given freely in exchange for offering service to the land, so applicants must be willing to participate in this work exchange.
Places are limited to a small intimate group so if you feel the call apply soon. An aspiration for 2018 is to have a mixed gender group. Prior experience of meditation and a mature aspiration for the practice will be helpful.
Venue: The Beautiful Wangapeka Study and Retreat Centre situated in the mountains and rivers of Kahurangi National Park South Island NZ.
Costs $700 per person for a month, this includes everything, accommodation, food, and all course costs.
