Both beginners and those who wish to deepen this practice are welcome to attend.
On each day we will practice together as a group as well as having space for you to practice independently.
We will touch into a variety of themes (e.g. Refuge – where is my place of safety?, Wholesome livelihood – what is an ethical life?, alongside allowing time for you to connect with your heart-felt aspiration - what is it that is really important in my life?). Questions arising spontaneously from those attending will also be explored.
The Chenrezig practice is a Tibetan Buddhist meditation that embodies the union of wisdom and compassion. It is an exploration of rich symbolic imagery and sound that enables us to connect deeply with these two qualities within ourselves and therefore in others. The facilitator, Mark Schrader, is an experienced teacher who brings enthusiasm, creativity and care to the retreat. It is the 5th year that Mark has offered this course at Wangapeka.
The course is limited to 14 participants so registering early is advisable. There is an option of attending just the weekend rather than the full 4 days — please enquire.
