Simple Goodness: Loving-Kindness with Kath Mitchell

We all have the same innate, boundless loving capacity. Kindness is a beautiful gift we can cultivate, nurture and give to ourselves and others. In many people’s experience, it is often easier to be kind to others, than to ourselves.
In this weekend retreat we will learn the healing and generous meditation practice of Loving-Kindness, to allow our hearts to soften. Our exploration will be nourished by the supportive natural environment of the Wangapeka Study and Retreat Centre.
Meditation and creative activities will be offered for you to explore Loving-Kindness in different ways. As love and kindness towards ourselves and all of life grows, we can open more fully to the reality of here and now. Through this process, a greater sense of flow and simple goodness in our everyday lives will unfold. This retreat is suitable for beginners and people with meditation experience.
$162 (plus Dana/Koha*). Members $150 (plus Dana/Koha*). This includes accommodation, food and cook’s fee.
*Dana means generosity and giving. The teachings are offered freely. You are invited to give Dana/Koha to Kath for the teaching.
About Kath Mitchell
Kath has studied and practiced at the Wangapeka study and retreat centre for 28 years. She has an extensive background in meditation, drama and teaching. Kath has heartfelt appreciation for all the meditation and Dharma teaching she has received and continues to receive. She has co-facilitated the Young Adults Retreat for 4 years, led Compassionate Relating courses with her husband and has co-taught the Introductory Retreat. She loves to offer and facilitate learning environments for people to explore deeply, heal and grow, for the well-being of the world.
